Gu struck a new phase of complete shadow around the time the Ethereals made a scant return from a short-lived portal; one that was tersely resealed and shut by the Lord Rungekutta. The new moon phase is the only time in which Fae are free to ascend from Gu, and descend upon Thera. But why now after all these eons of Thera's existence..? Where in Thera do they take up a base residence? Some fae are devilishly handsome, others are downright hideous; bearing a visage much akin to the face of a frog-eating bat (even a leaf-nosed bat.) Their frames are mirror images to that of a pixie, but their wings are leathery: thin membranes of tissue spread out between four or five metacarpals that anchor to an extension from either side of their back. With skin pigments similar to those of pixies, they're anything but pastel. They're hues usually revolve around an ashy, dark gray tone. Of note is that they all have what one would call a pair of sharp, extended canines as they're found in the mouths of humans. Through these, they feed from the blood of any that they are so inclined to bite. On average, a fae is found to be a bit taller than a pixie, but not by too much. Not much else is known of this small, aerial race.
