From far-flung corners of alleged human 'myth,' sprout the furtive and playful (sometimes mischievous...?) four-limbed bits we know could sit on a thimble. Their wings resemble those of a dragonfly's, but have less an extension of exoskeleton in them. Translucent and pretty, the colors thereof span a range of pastel variants of prime hues. Iridescent, one witness relays to have seen. Though admittedly it was after carelessly sneezing into a hollow tree stump, they said. Pixie dust everywhere. Careful which 'vacant' stumps you choose to nose around. What's worse than an obnoxious pixie? Probably an angry number of them.
Sneezes aside, their builds and ears don't differ much from those of elves and their skin tone ranges from pale to fair. Their hair shares the same prism potential as their wings do. None have been seen to stand any taller than your average quill.
But where do they come from? The pixies themselves profess to originate from more than one place. The moon Lomenthiel, spontaneous birth from idling loaves of bread, mitosis of ethereal vapors and from the recently shut portal found in the Grove of Oaks (just to name some claims).
Whether these are serious answers or not, you probably have a better chance flipping a coin on its edge than getting one from them. Who knows where in 'The Nine' they're from.
