Death fascinates many who are faced with it. Some become afraid of it and some embrace it. Those that embrace it often find that it can be a great ally to them. Not only will the use of it often terrify others but it also brings with it a grand amount of dark powers and abilities.

Necromancers use the powers of death itself. They can channel these energies into spells of debilitating and painful affects. They can use it to bring back a form of unlife to skeletons, regular corpses and corpses specially treated for undeath. They can command armies of these undead skeletons, zombies and mummies to do their evil deeds for them. Not only can they bring this unlife to the bodies of the deceased but they can bring it to bodies they have created out of materials of this world. Using flesh or iron they can form a body and animate it with life creating golems that will also obey their thoughts and commands.

Different aspects of death carry with it different sorts of powers. Some are fascinated with the ability to bring life to all sorts of inanimate objects ranging from the same skeletons, piles of flesh and lumps of iron used by other Necromancers to vast collections of bone that can be assembled to form even more horrifying golems of vast power. They learn many abilities that revolve around the construction of golems and of the construction of their own bodies.

Some are drawn to undeath itself. They are fascinated by all the aspects of unlife and the spirits surrounding it. They can create undead beings that far surpass the undead of any other type of Necromancer. Not only do they cause their undead minions to be more powerful they can draw power from the souls of those they slay. Binding it into orbs that they can then gain energy from when they need it. They gain much from their studies of undeath.

Still others use their powers to fight life itself. They find that their dark energies can easily be converted into devices that attack the very essence of life. Ranging from vicious assaults on the energies of living beings to using the devices of decay and disease against the living. Some even foster the growth of maggots within their own bodies to use against their enemies, the living. They are dedicated to the destruction of all that is alive and embrace all forms of decay and corruption.
